Just wrapped up my first season as photographer for a Great Lakes League collegiate level baseball team here in town. It's their first year, so mine as well. I would love some feedback on how I did and if you see improvement from the first game to the last. I think I have 6 or 7 home game galleries available.
As well as looking for great sports shots (of course) my goal was to also present the whole experience of coming to watch the local team play - giving the feel of the community event. Many games had special groups, recognitions, etc. which I also documented. We had college interns working with the team, so I tried to catch them in action as well.
Sometimes I just tried to be more creative and have fun. So how are the results?

It would be very helpful to know if there are any you particularly like or dislike and why (add game date and first 3 numbers in the file name.) Thank you very very much in advance! |

I am not a big fan of baseball but IMHO I think you did a great job for the team. Cool action captures and nice portraits. I wuold think that they would be very pleased with your work. Well done Judy! |

Thanks. Wish I had a nice long lens to get more outfield stuff, but can't afford that type of glass right now - especially since I don't do a lot of sports. |

I got a kick out of the Lima Locos gallery, I lived in Lima for 3 very long years and they played at a field about a half mile from my home. Good stuff thanks for sharing. |

Well done! Some great action shots. Don't worry about the outfield stuff, nothing interesting happens there anyway. ;)

Really great shots!!!! I love the ones where they are sliding in the dirt - every detail is there. Funny thing is, I hate sports - always have (because I'm not good at them) :) But I love sports photography. The way the human body moves is a remarkable thing indeed! Great job! |
