Jeanne, JerseyGenie and her husband Tom. Such good people! I was honored to have them spend a night at my home while they are experiencing their Alaskan adventure. We went to Hatchers Pass today and took lots of photos.
As soon as I get some processed I will share them here. I am really excited to see how some of the landscape shots turned out as Jeanne let me use her Canon 10-22mm lens.....I HAVE to get one of those!

Way cool! You're on my list of people to mooch off when I get a chance to visit Alaska, Linda. :) |

Awwww thanks Linda and Kelly. You make us feel all warm and wonderful!!
We had a marvelous time. I have to stop poking around here and download the photos onto the portable hard drive and then hit the bed. Long day, wonderful day.
And Linda ... I had TWO huge glasses of rootbeer and we took the pie as takeout (just polished them off)!!
Kudos to Melethia for suggesting the 10-22 in the first place. I'm enjoying the 10-22 and the L 70-200 too. Great choices for this adventure. And now I have to get the extender that Linda introduced me to.

Wasn't that the BEST root beer?! And the chocolate mousse pie is to die for! Glad you found the place and had a great meal. |

Here are a few pics from our trek in which I got to use Jeanne's 10-22mm lens. I love that lens.
Today my back is killing me from the trek, but it was definitely worth it. I have two new friends who made it a fun day.

Haven't processed those from the Hatcher's Pass Area (and Linda, ShutterPug) yet ... but here are a few from earlier in the vacation:

Amazing Alaska
OK, I can't say that I did the place justice with my photos, however I thought you might like to see the shots I did get. Linda was a great hostess, and she directed us to some amazingly beautiful scenes. I also included the shots from the rest of our trip. |
