Welcome to the "DPC Skinned and Roasted" thread.

Each week, or so, we'll select a memorable current, or former, DPC participant worthy of attention.

This individual may have touched us in ways that gave us a rash, photos made us wince or perspective left us in speechless awe. They have added a spice which had been unprecedented yet always left a blemish er "mark" on our culture. Consider them the bent piece of bacon at the bottom of the pack, the parsley in your teeth, the ingrown toenail. They are the unsung anti-heroes and deserve recognition.

We can always count on them for exhaustive debates, volatile confrontations, extreme misinterpretation of rules, miraculous stunts of lunacy and in some cases, admirable photographic under achievement.

A special person which makes this place interesting. They shall be "Skinned and Roasted" in a manner which will punctuate the zest of their contribution and allow others to enjoy their unique aroma.

This session, we will be serving the following:

The master of fiberglass!
The Patron Saint of ADD!
DPC's forum genius with infinite hand gestures!

Our very own class clown ..... Strikeslip

Bathe in the mastery of his photographic prowess and ability to make accountants cry.

Find a forum link, point to a photo, sing a tune, tell a story and start roasting!!

Oh, where to begin. Well here's a few of my past tributes to Slippy and his antics... (some images have links to threads)

a couple features about him in the DPC Enquirer Vol 2 (top and bottom of page).
From the "Add me to your favorites" contestraversy which caused at least 3 or 4 days worth of drama:

Despite that fact that I find Slippy annoying on sooooooo many levels, I think this is an absolutely stupendous image!

But I'd chew my own arm off before I'd ever admit it publicly......

Who can forget Slippy's forced relocation of the squirrel in the dead of winter, and the mini-furor that caused among the tree-huggers and animal-lovers...?

Coincidentally, I suspect there are some critters in my attic. I started making a video about it yesterday, but it won't be finished until I reach some sort of varmint resolution.

I can't remember the thread/context, but I've had this hanging around in my Workshop folder for ages!

Junk shrinks with old age, so there is probably more room for ventilation now than several years ago. So you may not need the fan anymore.

Wonder if he's still wanted in China for destroying their environment?
