I'm so sorry Lea. I don't know what to say. I wish you strength, and you'll be in our thoughts.

Lea, my heart goes out to you and yours. You know this is no fault of yours; you are a TERRIFIC mother - that's always been very apparent from your photographs and the way you talk about your children. As Jelena says, I wish you strength to get you through this, but I also know that you have that strength and more. I'm so sorry.

On a happier note.....

All of the frustration and aggravation that I've endured going to coffee shops, craft shows, and the like trying to hawk my work, the frustration and disappointment, and time wasting has come to an end.

The gallery and framing shop that has been kind enough to work with me, and has hung in there through my being frustrated and whiny has now sold my bridge image a couple of times, albeit not in toto. That one large panel of the three panel image has proven popular, and a couple of smaller complete images have sold as well.

So....I'm actually kind of mass selling, though at five issues, it's hard to call it mass! LOL!!!

Here's a shot of three awaiting pickup....

I'm not going to do the traveling huckster routine any more.....I was really getting tired of the amount of time I was sitting around hoping people would buy my work.

REALLY nice work on the flowers, folks!! I very much enjoyed visiting the Team Suck entries, most of which I remembered from the challenge. And I still do feel mine, while a nice flower picture, was overrated. Only fair to point out the overrated ones - balances out one or two of the underrated ones perhaps.

I'd also like to point out that several Team Suckers added new entries to their personal top rows, including one new Personal Best!

New Personal Best for quiet_observation

New top row (2nd!) for krnodil

New top row for emerkaza

New top row for cosprenks

Also note that Mary, Karen, and Cecilia had top 20 challenge finishes, too.

Yes, congrats everyone! Team Suck did very well in the flower challenge. You forgot your thumbnail, Deb. =)

Congrats on your top 10 finish!

Lea, my heart and thoughts go out to you and your family. Janet-Lynne and I had the same thing happen between Caleb and Isaac so we have been where you are right now and I know how you feel. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Much love, thinking of you.

Max, Janet-Lynne, Caleb, and Isaac Durnford.

i was shooting The Event at Rebecca farms(look it up, its pretty cool)
i emailed their official photographer a ew days ago to let him know that i was gonnna be there shooting and might like to sell to some of the riders if he didnt mind. i like to ask ahead of time, cause some people are really territorial(like me:). he said it was his livelyhood and he needs to keep his business so i said that that was fine with me and that i would jsut shoot for a local website and myself. i thought it was over and done with and id stop by his booth and say hi at some point. so this morning i get to the press tent and he hears my name, so he cmoes over and bitches at me about being unethical for even asking. i was so confused cause i thought what i had done was respectful! if it was my event i would have really appriciated being informed ahead of time if someone else was going to be shooting. so yeah, it was very weird. i didnt really understand why he was so mad.

You should have told him that he was completely right. You were unethical for even asking, and you should have just taken the pictures and sold them to the riders! And then gone on to tell him that you are going to lodge a complaint with the directors of the event to let them know just what an ass their photographer is to visiting photographers.

I second what Wendy says, snaffly. If I was there I'd go over and beat his ass with my whip so bad he wouldn't know what happened!!!

Frankly he may recognize you as a natural talent and be intimidated by you. What you did was completely ethical and respectful.

oh snaffles:) you are definitely my favorite virtual mom:)

and i agree with you wendy, it turns out hes an asshole to everyone cause i talked to another photographer who runs a business shooting horses. she had her photos up on her trailor(without pricetags or anything) and he drove up and demanded she remove them
