The thing that's really obnoxious is that my 10 year old was at 5.3333 and the troll knocked him down to 4.25 -- 5.35 is his PB; he would have been excited in the morning to go in with a good score. It takes awhile to recover from a 1.

I went to this huge amount of trouble to get a picture for the never seen challenge and then forgot to enter it. Boo hoo.

I was going to enter Never Seen, but was sure some troll would counter that they've seen a shot of hatched-out snapping turtle eggs before, so I didn't. Both Old Cars and Zen are -5, so not in the mood to see another score in that range staring me in the face.

However, I plan to have tons of fun shooting for Spam...

very disappointed -- too wrapped up in this shot. Loved it and thought it would be in the 6 range. I need to not get so caught up in some of my images! :( (ignore me, I'm just having a very bad morning. Ya kinda hope that scores go up on these mornings instead of plummeting overnight)

how come its possible to destroy your average with one photo, but multiple photos above your average doesnt move it at all? is it just a math thing i dont understand?

i guess so. its been one of those weeks. and i was getting close to my average goal for the year too

Same thing when people talk about for each vote of 1 or 2 that you want to scrub out, you should scrub out a 9 or 10. The problem is if you are in the 6s, you watch as lots of 7s & 8s come in, and then one 1 shoots the whole wad! So, I guess for every 1 you want scrubbed, you should scrub a couple of 10s :D

I actually love math -- but I still think it sucks that you need a heap of 7s and 8s for every 1!

math can answer that. If you have almost a 6 (that's what the rumors say), then 1 is 5 below a 6. 1 is 83% less than 6. This is a tremendous drag on the 6. 7 is only 1 above a 6, 17% higher. 8 is only 2 above a 6, 33% higher. It doesn't compare.

Well, when the irresistable force collides with the unmovable object, its velocity is then zero. Always assuming that the object really is unmovable. If it was accelerating up to the point of impact, then the velocity at that point is pretty hard to ascertain. Not to mention academic.

Anyway, someone said it can't be done and Newton said 'Yes it can' and invented calculus to do it.

I think.

Nope -- as Isaac Asimov once explained (I believe to his prospective bride), the question/proposition is meaningless, if words are to have any meaning at all. The definitions of "irresistable" and "unmovable" are mutually exclusive, so you can't have both in the same universe at the same time.

I am very excited. I got my ipod touch today. In fact I was so excited that I left for work and forgot to close the front door to our house. Pretty awesome toy.
