Ok, it's been driving me crazy all week.

I was worried about my entry, because I thought that people might not find it unusual enough, or they might think that objects should be inanimate object, not living things.

Given the large number of 3s and 4s, something was wrong with this entry.

Input would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

Comment left.

Here is the image to make it easier for people to find the image. People are lazy...you have to do the work for them if you want the feedback.

I didn't vote in the challenge, but did enter. The feathers sticking up on the bird's head do qualify as unusual. However, they are not separate from the bird and are therefore harder to see as objects in and of themselves. The main object in the image is the great blue heron. For a lot of photographers, that bird is not so unusual, and I think you are right that many people would expect non-living items when first thinking of "objects".

Didn't come up for me, but I noticed it when I was browsing the entries. I also did not consider a Heron to be unusual. For the the shot itself I would have likely given it a 5, perhaps a 6. The angle of the sun may have been a problem for this one. Hard overhead sun is difficult for photos.
