Perhaps people would more interested in this quote of his I once found posted in the kitchen of an ER doc friend of mine:
"I believe we're each endowed with a finite number of heartbeats, and I'm not wasting any of mine on no damn exercise."

While I agree it was a great thing to say (scripted or not, with or without the "a"), and I remember the TV broadcast clearly, after seeing the length of the article and realizing how much energy was put forth in analyzing that audio, I can't help but think we could've put a man on Mars by now if that level of effort was redirected. ;-) |
