There's a trick of presentation, too - they don't see any of the pictures until you're good and ready to show them. You could make the before picture into a sort of thumbnail in the corner of the after picture. You could certainly make them across the board smaller. Maybe feature a couple of those before pictures in which the character of the unpolished individual shines through - there'll be some of those.
Warts and all, as Oliver Cromwell would have it... |

Barb,
I am so bad, I never even think to look where my DPC buddies are located. Sheeeeesh. So sorry to have dropped the ball on that one. It was great, truly enjoyed myself.
Lots of amazing food, unfortunately...for the diet!
Jeanne
PS: Next time. I told my husband we need to go back.

I got the luck of the draw and hit the over 100 degree two-week stretch. The temps just broke the day I was leaving to head back east, of course. My kinda luck.

Actually, we did that once. When she first started kindergarten, she got booted up to first grade since she could already read, spell, and do basic math, but over time it was difficult as she was kind of ostracized for being a "little" kid instead of the same age as the rest. We didn't like that much, so we held her back in fourth grade as with her December 28th birthday, she was younger anyway.
Now, going into 9th grade, and switching to a tougher high school (Curriculum-wise), and being on an accelerated path because of their International Baccalaureate program, she's stepping ahead for her reasons and desire to excel.
Hold her back? Nah! I love it that in 8th grade she came to us and asked to find a school for her that had a student body that was more interested in learning and succeeding, as well as offering tougher courses. She is an amazing young woman!
I have been graced.

It is such a delight to be the parent of a happy, well-adjusted, hard-working, and energetic young woman.
Though I miss "Daddy's Little Girl", this funny, smart, quick, unusual young woman is a constant source of delight & amusement, as well as giving us ample opportunity to keep, ourselves sharp, and our wits about us simply answering questions.
With our unorthodox relationship, Eleanor has never known any boundaries, and having grown up with the two of us as a high-level functioning cooperative that didn't put much stock in the status quo, she sees the no boundaries thing as the way it should be.
Consequently, she sees herself as different and unique amongst her peers, but also perfectly acceptable within her own parameters, and she avoids much of the dysfunction that her peer group lives within.
I kinda like the kid.....8>)

Does anyone remember this customer from hell ? LOL! She called me out of the blue today, and from what I understood wanted a picture blown up that a friend had taken years ago in Florida. She said she had an 6x8 and wanted a 12x14 or larger. So I asked her to scan it and email it to me and I'd see what I could do, no promises. She sent it and it was like 2x3. So I called and she said the she had ripped up the bigger one when she was mad and only had the little wallet left. Basically I told her I really couldn't do anything with it at that size. So... she asked if maybe I could recreate the picture. I'm really not sure I want to deal with all that crap again. It took forever to get paid last time, she had one excuse after another. |

OMG, HER! Well might I suggest getting a retainer up front? Is that done in the biz? Just call it a deposit to cover processing fees (ie all the Photoshop you'll have to do to make her look *glamourous* again}...good luck, we're here for you! |

*scratching head* waitaminute...she wants you to recreate a picture which will eventually be blown up to 12x14...yet she happily destroyed the original 8x6 of the image by tearing it up...maybe she just wants a bigger photo to tear up this time?!
At least in the pic she wants you to re-create, she is umm covered up nicely, imagine if you had to shoot her with her haunches towards the camera in skintight or very little clothing...a ripper-upper for sure, lol!!!
Have fun! :-) |

Ask yourself this....."What's the BEST scenario?".
Then ask yourself, "What are the odds that this will be the best scenario?".
How do you like either of those questions and answers?......8>)
Tell her that you'd prefer not to engage in business with her again.

As a matter of fact, first we're heading for Brigantine lighthouse to do some surf fishing. Then we're going to see a house for rent in Mystic Island. My landlord is selling the house I've been renting for the past 11 years. I'm kind of hoping this is the one, link. I've been looking mainly through the local paper and craigslist and so far until now, all the craigslist postings that I've checked into have been scams from Nigeria. LOL! I was surprised to see a local phone number with this one and called and it was for real. LOL! She used to do only summer rentals but decided she really wanted a long term year 'round renter. And, if I get it, I'll get new furniture to boot! LOL! |

Well, if you want to support (or undermine, depending on the usage) the Royal Navy, why not?
Maybe you can word a license in such a way as to state that you usually charge $N for similar "stock" usage ,but that you'll waive the fee in this case, and thereby take a tax write-off (if you do that kind of thing). |
