Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM

Ok, it feels strange asking this, but it seems like it's possible!

I mentioned in an earlier forum that one of my photos was picked by National Geographic for possible publication. My photo was one of their Daily Dozen for their Your Shot competition. I've been watching the ratings each day, and of the 144 photos picked so far this month, I'm tied for 8th place!! (there is a little less than 2 weeks to go).

If you feel so inclined, please go to Your shot/voting machine. On the right side of the voting machine, you'll see week1 week2 week3 & week4. My photo is the bluebird shot in week 2.

Feels weird asking for votes--but I assume everyone else is asking friends and family as well ;) And it almost seems possible! National Geographic--how cool would that be! (by the way--it's all due to DPC. I'd been playing with bluebird shots before I started here. But DPC caused me to step it up a notch. And a DQ made me try even harder! Thanks DPC!)

It really doesn't say--I wouldn't think you'd have to. But it might be good to vote on a day or two's worth...? I assume just voting on one looks a little strange.

Going to week 2 I guess I got a random image but couldn't progress till I voted, so my Q was really do you have to vote on all images or stop when I get to yours? like the dpc 20% or did I miss something?

Jeez, some harsh voting going on there Wendy! I didn't spot the average vote cast on the previous image till after a few votes but after I did I only saw one image go through that was above your (then) 6.05 - fingers crossed girl, your image stood out!

edited to add, just seen the thumbs and if my eyes are working ok your #3 :)

I'm #3 in week 2, but there are a few in week 3 and 4 that are also ahead of me. There's actually 144 images over the 4 weeks so far, and I'm 8th out of 144--so it's doing pretty well!!
