I use my legs as a counterbalance to help me get up in a hurry, like when my car's rolling away from an asparagus stand and Quigley isn't around! :-)

Yes, did start off as a joke about a year ago when I first shot with BeeCee and Becky-Lee on Salt Spring Island. I wanted a new profile pic and asked Sheila to get one of me. So we were shooting a church up on a hill and I wanted that nice low worm's-eye pov, so I lay down and was shooting up. Then Sheila called, 'Hey, Snaffles!' and I stuck my legs in the air as she shot. This past birthday (for Sheila, not me) I asked what she would like and between the two of us we came up with me in that pose in the veddy, veddy ritzy Empress Hotel...we did it just outside the Bengal Room, and a few more later on.

And so a new tradition was born, and Sheila told Max to get me in that pose during his visit, so he did! :-)

In Germany this time of year, Spargel is all the rage. It's blind asparagus - asparagus that doesn't get to see the sun, so it has no color (well, it's kinda white.) It's very popular. You get Spargel everywhere with everything in every possible form imaginable. I kinda skip it, seeing as how I don't much care for asparagus.

Yeah, I've seen Spargel around, makes your pee smell just like regular asparagus does, lol! I have a teeny asparagus patch of only 4 plants but was still able to harvest a few to have with a meal.

Hey Max - check out the challenge they just announced - Automobile Ad!!! ARRRRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!

Just got home the infamous asparagus stand...and never fear, made sure I left the parking brake on this time, lol!

It's raining, and it's miserable outside, and I'm bored out of my mind, and DPC is more boring than usual. Who sucked the fun out of this place lately? lol.

Wander zigomar's portfolio and leave some comments. Check out the layers side challenge. Check out the Topaz side challenge. Download Topaz and play with it for a bit.

Or start a thread dealing with politics or religion. :-)

Hmm, not too keen on the challenge description for the automobile ad challenge... I'm not sure I believe in this whole "Help save the world by selling more cars" thing... Maybe it's just me and my lack of driving licence, but...

Also, I have a confession to make. I hate Topaz, and most of the processing it results in.

Can I appeal to any photo processing geniuses to help me ?

I totally screwed up the focus on what could have been an awesome shot of my daughter tonight - I know I cannot change the focus after the fact, and no it cannot be reshot, but maybe just maybe one of you can help it not look SO bad.

Please.

I've uploaded a small copy to my workshop here, but I have the RAW file still.

Don't think I'll be going as far out as that... Toledo, maybe... but not Andalusia.
