Now honestly - doesn't that deserve some kind of special recognition?

You're a brown ribbon winner!!! Congrats! |

Yes, there's one in every challenge.
However, several of us have taken it upon ourselves to accumulate a collection of Brown Ribbon pictures, though from your recent comments on my otherwise low-scoring images I infer that you're not helping much in that regard. ;-) |

Yup, there is some weird satisfaction in having a brownie. I'm rather proud of mine. |

Here is the second challenge where people were asked to make a "good" picture out of a previous Brown Ribbon-winning image. |

You know - I just might try to break whatever record there is for brown ribbons. Clearly, my preferred genre isn't to the taste of the general DPC user - should be pretty easy. :>)
Hey - everybody has to strive for something right? |

Oddly, so am I.
Is there a thread where I can post the score to obtain the Brown Ribbon? |

The Brown is automatically-conferred -- no registration necessary. There is no icon. |

Paul your two -1% brown ribbons really ought to be conferred with some special recognition. With effort and a bit of luck any one can get to last place, but for that last place to be lower than all the possible places, that is special. Twice. |

You have a long way to go to contend with this master. whiterook (he has a ribbon icon you can use as well)

Here you go... wear it proudly.
I'm being awfully gracious, considering how you practically stole it from me.
But raish, premiere ribbonmaker, deserves your thanks for it.

I got blasted for stealing his brown as well. It's an achievement of sorts. Display it proudly. |

I'm so jealous! I've been hoping for years to take a Brown, but every time I get close the GeneralE steals it from me; either him, or Whiterook. And here you pull one off in your infancy, so to speak :-(

The problem is, if you are actually shooting for the brown, you have to make sure there are no redeeming traits. My lone brown was not an intentional effort. This one was, but the point I made gained it some votes that kept it one spot from the bottom. CharlieBaker, one of the brown ribbon masters, underperformed me with a lens cap shot.

Oh, heck, I've never actually TRIED to get a brown, no way... It's just that when I end up at the bottom of the pack anyway, I wish I were all the way there :-)
