I remember this thread one of the all-time DPC classic's. Check out some of the people who posted, makes you think where are they.
This made me laugh a second time:

Wow, wish I'd been around earlier to follow the thread in all its glory. Maybe the original pooh-disturber is in cahoots with She Who? |

Rules aren't different in the south, but the people are. Just depends on what part of the south. I live in Louisiana(ugh), and I must say that bringing beer and a dog to another place of business, especially a school, is pretty silly. Where was the gun? That would have prevented you from even posting on here, considering you would have been in jail. Also, "I have drinken beer with the president?" I can only imagine why you don't see an issue with your gripe. From one southerner to another, don't bring beer, dos, or guns to a school, or to someone else's business.

the dog? perhaps to your studio, but again, to another place of business?? Perhaps you should take you dog, prints, beer and pick up truck back to the trailer park.
Sorry to be so harsh, but c'mon - comon sense and some class, any class, would say don't do that.
Or are there different rules in the South? |
Kiss my trailer park ass. This was not work. I don't work for the college and I have drinken beer with the president of that college on the campus in the past. |

It's still a public building, even if it is TEMPORARILY closed to the public.

It is not exactly a public building if it is closed to the public at the time for me to hang my exhibit. I have another exhibit up at the local museum and have never had a problem with my dog in the building. The local courthouse is the same. Besides, it isn't like they didn't know who I was and what I was going to do when they asked me to hang the exhibit.
I will make a good chunk of money on this. They asked me six months ago for some sample images to use to promote the show. They used the images on bookmarks, postcards and on the printed and online brochure, basically without telling me until everything was printed. I plan to send them an invoice at Alamy rates as soon as I contact the designer to see how many prints were run. It should be in the $5 to $6K range. |

No shit? I didn't even notice that. I'm seeing April, and figuring 2009, not 2005. OMG, I can't believe someone actually found this. Really must have been bored!

OK now that I've read a couple pages...some questions...
1) so he wasn't planning on getting sloshed, so wtf is with the sixpack?, and
2) ooh, he's a *real man*, driving a pickup and all...so wtf is with the Bichon Frisee? Shouldn't he have had at least a redtick hound, or if he were REAL fancy, a Catahoula Leopard dawg?!
Inquiring minds want to know! |

ah, the good ol' days...
if you're reading this, you really need to start at the beginning; otherwise, it would be like walking into a movie during the closing credits.
