Found this news story on yahoo...

this is very cool! My grandfather flew B-17's in Europe in WWII. Be some very interesting shots.
I have a ton of B-17 crash photos from a wreck here in CO during WWII, that I hiked to. Very interesting. Planning on it again, and a few more wreck sites this summer.

This was mentioned on UK news bulletin yesterday.
Apparently they are hoping to include more recent conflicts and images from Russian (USSR) archives in the "near future".
Should certainly be an interesting and enduring site.

"Under the digitalization project announced Saturday, some 5 million Royal Air Force photos of Western Europe will be available to the public on the Web site www.evidenceincamera.co.uk., archivists said. The site did not appear to be accessible on Saturday."
Wow. Thats alot of photos.
Will be very interesting.
