Damn - I'm working 2 car-seat clinics this weekend. I could FILL the "not quite right" category if I was allowed to take pictures there. *sigh* Though most would likely not get why things weren't right.

My shot for Trains is doing much better then I ever thought, it started to fall and was at 5.1 and I thought it was going to go below 5 and then I went back to work and it's now at 5.8998
and I'm in shock. I hope the night time voters are as kind.

| just a heads up for Golden brigade - I am back in the mix - low 5 for RR and a stunning 6 out of the gate for the tacks! Feels good to be playing again |

Hey, you guys ain't implying that I high turnover rate in the bf department, do you? ;-) I can;t help it it they start off great then turn out to not be good enough!

FINALLY got to BC yesterday and before too long I'll be seeing BeeCee too and doing a gtg.
Now I love travelling somewhere but omfg do I hate being stuck in transit. Arrived at airport for 8 to catch 9:45 flight; that gets cancelled due to a problem with a leaking brake line. Soo now I have to wait til 1:40 just to leave Ottawa. Finally get to Winnipeg and transfer from there to Vancouver flight. Land just before 6, scramble to get my bags so I can catch 6:00 bus and 7:00 ferry...and geez gosh darn miss both. Lucky to get the 7:20 ferry but it's 3 hrs, other one would've taken 1.5 then another 35 min on a feeder ferry.
So still verrry tired. However I got in a good incongruous shot for out of place, then tons of practice doing candids. Secret there seems to be let people see you taking pics (or pretending to, lol) of something, then quickly zoom in and shoot em before it's too late! Muhahahaa!
At one point found myself sitting on a bench with a minor Cdn celebrity, whom I didn't recognize though someone else did, a fan. This guy, Terry Grant, plays the lead role in a Cdn series called Mantracker. Of course I didn't ask for his autograph, but I did get his pic, just told him to do some people-watching :-)
Now my main concern is wondering how much in-camera editing I can do here. I brought along PS Elements, but it's the Mac version and I'm on a PC.
Which of the free photo editing programs out there will let me do basic PS stuff and things like convert from RAW and resize?

Picasa will. It will convert, let you sharpen, crop, straighten, and do some basic stuff with color and contrast, but not too much more, other than that I don't know. |

snaffles I will have conformation on the trip to Ottawa soon and it looks like I'll be heading there for May 7 or so, he (my rep) needs to check on the exact production date
and let me know when it will be ready. I will stay over the weekend and return on the Monday. I need the break :) So I'll keep you posted as I hear from him.

Nahh, think nothing of it, people are just being silly, me included :-). My place is cool beyond words, the cats are friendly, and oh yeah there are lots of neat scenic places around to go and shoot. I am within 7km of an exit to the 416 which takes you to Ottawa. Maybe we try and hook up with  RayEthier or some of the Ottawa crowd for a weekend gtg. Up to you. |

I just figured out that on top of all the other cool things that happened with my Textures entry, it was also my last entry in the DPCO, and I was the only one on my team to crack a 6.0.
I was glad to finish out with the best score since I managed to turn in TWO 3. something scores whilst on the team......8>)
