Although I was registered over there, it was just to monitor things related to, um, certain entities also then present here. I never found it to be a real "community" in the sense that DPC has always been. Hadn't been there in almost a year, won't miss it.
Oh, and a pint o' Guinness, please! |

I'd like a strawberry margarita. (frozen, of course)
I've heard a lot about how DPC has changed, but I'm wondering more if people are just out-growing their need for it... |

We'll I'll miss it a little. I liked having another chance for a monthly freestudy. One is not enough.
Though now I feel guilty for skipping the last two...oh, it's all my fault! Come to think of it, I've been so busy with work I skipped the last two free studies here...oh oh! ;)
I do wish they would have given us enough notice to capture some of our statistics for posterity. And maybe had a classier goodbye than a line of plain text!
Anyway, while DPC celebrates it's 1000th with style, a moment of silence for the little guy.

I had just gone back to it recently, and entered the last free study... I did well in it too, so I went back to enter the next month, and it was gone. Its unfortunate, for sure, but understandable considering the low traffic.

| I was a member for a long time and had a lot of photos posted there and there was no notification whatsoever. you couldnt even retrieve or save anything. not real happy about it. |

| I played there early on but kind of felt like it was a DPC wannabe. Over time all sites change, people come and go, but like I said in another thread, I have so many good friends here now. Seriously, GOOD FRIENDS. My taste in photography isn't like most, and I like getting into the actual development of an image without rules, but I still hang around because there isn't any place better, trust me. I've been to them all. LOL |
