Maybe I'm getting old but I didn't find it funny at all. In fact, I found it offensive.

It is. On Windows, for any browser, you can press F12 and F1 keys together to simulate the F13 key. I have never seen snything so funny.. good one Langdon! :-)

Can someone share the shortcut for a Mac? I want to try on that too.

If you are on a Mac, I dont know the shortcut. But on Windows, for any browser, you can press F12 and F1 keys together to simulate the F13 key.

Alternatively, pressing F1+F2+F10 together, also works...

I'm now using a mac that has never logged into this site before, and I still see nothing. Getting pretty sure that is the gag.

Yep!

It took me a while to get it.. but the clue to F13 combination is hidden in that other real thread.. if you can figure it out. This is just a decoy thread. Too cool of an idea!!

Whew, who remembers last April Fools when all our scores kept dropping because we got 1s every hour?

That must have been an earlier year. Last year I remember getting a DNMC comment in the free study.

Maybe, but mine is dropping by the hour just as I write... that must be an April 1st joke!
