There are some really good rebates right now on SanDisk cards, especially the Extreme III 4GB. See here for details. Unless my math is off if you buy 3x of the extreme III cards it works out to around $14 per card with the rebate I think.

Remember, SanDisk rebates don't have a good reputation around these parts. Here's just one thread.

Actually here's another.

I think the final consensus is that they hire crappy contractors to deal with their rebates.

I got a $75 rebate credit card from them with no problem, I bought the 8 gig Ducati. I took about 3 weeks.

That's 3 weeks too long. What ever happen to just being "on sale"?

Being on sale doesn't have the advantage of lazy people not getting their act together. Not to mention the plausible deniability of never receiving anything ;)

Either way I need the cards, so it's all gravy if I get some money back. Order at your own risk I suppose.

I don't know, this one's being advertised pretty heavily by the retailers involved as well... would they really be prepared for all the complaints? I'm actually quite tempted to get the Extreme IV 16GB. I have a 133x Transcend 16GB and it's rather slow.... the Extreme IV 16GB is one of the fastest rated cards for my camera.... still $135 is still a lot of money for someone with little to no income.
