What chance this will be the lowest ever blue or are there loads of people sitting quietly out there on 7+?
This is what they need to beat  Score of 6.4194
The lowest average score for a challenge was 4.747 here Challenge 141 - At Rest
As for me, still bouncing along in 'middle of the road land' although I did get a funny comment that made me realise what I should have titled my entry.

None, the high scorers very rarely post their scores on these threads and there are some cracking shots in there with mass appeal. |

Not sure I would agree with the use of the term 'mass appeal' to be honest. This challenge, by its very nature is likely to divide opinion more than most and more than ever, one man's 10 is anothers 3. Hence the possibilty that on average scores will be lower, and whilst I do agree that those scoring highest don't like to tempt fate by revealing their score the general consensus seems to be that score on the whole are lower so I'm guessing the average will be lower.

I guess one thing I have learned and something I need to remember. If the challenge title has the word Abstract in it anywhere don't be surprised if your score is less than stellar. (However, you are allowed to be cautiously optimistic if your entry is doing well).

Looks like low scoring in this one. I have a comment saying how mine really meets the challenge and another that says it doesn't, no wonder the scores are all over the place, its a strange challenge.
