Still above were I expected it to be... but it's still early, and those early anti-troll votes ensure that it'll be a week of watching it slowly fall... reckon that's worse than starting low and watching it climb through the week.

| Based on the half of the entries I've seen so far, I'm amazed at how many aren't in the least bit "abstract" and how many don't have any "motion"... I just don't understand. |

| I can understand the lack of abstract given the challenge description. It is another one of those challenges where the title and description say different things. No motion at all puzzles me though! |

My score is roughly 4.7 at 27 votes. I've had one lovely comment though.
We'll see how it goes. I'm very happy with my photo though and how to put it, the last challenge I entered definitely taught me not to worry about the score too much |

I've purposefully entered a pic that I really like, is motion-blurred, but almost certainly doesn't meet the challenge because it's not abstract.

Same here!! I don't have very much score variation either...
I'm too emotionally involved in this challenge. I tried abstract for the first time, and I loved about 17 of my shots. My problem was deciding on one. It came down to two shots in the end, and I went with the more abstract, even though friends and family all picked the middle of the road abstract. the problem is I'll never know whether the other one would have done better because more people don't like abstract or if they would have ended up about the same.

Looks like we are in good company. A very low scoring challenge I guess. I never did like abstracts. I probably wont vote this one either. I would probably add misery to the already miserable if I did. :=( |

The second challenge I ever entered got a 3.7463, All I did was took a snap shot of my kids holding each others hands. I left the timestamp on the picture because at the time I didn't know anything about the site or what sort of things flew and what didn't.
I'm a little disappointed that after setting up the shot and actually taking an hour for shooting, 40 minutes or so for processing, my score now has a .0037 advantage over a picture, that at the time I had no clue about.

Mine has improved a bit, but at only 32 votes it still could get a lot worse, stay mediocre or hopefully turn out ok.
I generally do not vote on challenges I enter. I do sometimes, but not often. |
