I used "Impact", but would like to know the type that is actually used for the website.

The font used in the logo is in fact Impact. This was disclosed during the dpchallenge.com Sticker Challenge.

Are you putting the site in any kind of legal jeopardy by having that on your vehicle?
i.e., you get in an accident and some crazy lawyer (you do live in the U.S. according to your profile) decides to include "Challenge Technologies LLC" in the lawsuit because you have DPC on your car. I know when I see vinyl lettering like that promoting a website on an SUV (it is mostly SUV's and minivans I see it on), I assume the driver either owns the site or has a financial interest in it (unlike a bumper sticker, which I interpret as an individual deciding to advertise something for free.)

I would hope a lawyer wouldn't use a bumper sticker to determine fault/liability.
It would be like getting bludgeoned with a baseball bat and suing Louisville Slugger!

Unfortunately, there are lawyers who would try this.
And as I mentioned before, vinyl letters (to me) and bumper stickers are totally different things. |

They could try, but how successful would they be? Faidoi can proove he has nothing to do with DPC except being a non-paying user. If drew were to do it perhaps it would be a different story :P

Sometimes it isn't about winning or losing -- even the cost involved in having an attorney prove the allegations are groundless can be enough to cause serious financial hardship. Unfortunately, the U.S. is litigation-happy and has some unbelievable outcomes (remember the woman who spilled some McDonald's coffee and was awarded US$2.9 Million by the jury?)

It would be the equivalent of having a baseball team's bumper sticker on your car and someone including the baseball team in a lawsuit because you got in an accident. Even the most creative lawyer would be hard-pressed to get that into court.

Yeah, I dont really see any differnce between a sticker, vinyl lettering, paint, etc. They all convey the same thing, in this case, just a website. I cant see any logical reasoning as to why one sticker medium would hold more weight or liability than another.

I would think that if this happened it would be great publicity and a great way to get dpchallenge into the news. :-)

I have a www.geocaching.com sticker in my window. They sell them - so I doubt there would be any legal consequences, I'm sure they looked into it. (I would)I also used to have a slashdot.org sticker - again the site sold them/gave them away at one point. |

As I was in search of a entry for the POV challenge. Someone came up to me and asked me about the sticker and the site. I was leaving so I gave him a bit of info and told him to check out the site.
I guess it's working. Is there a referral system for getting people to join? :)

If D and L asked me to get rid of the sticker no problem, but I definitely won't make one where Calvin is peeing on the website :P
I would think that a person would sue "Honda" first.LOL
A vinyl sticker is a bumper sticker without the background color. Think about it.

Dear Drew,
I am considering getting a tatoo of DPChallenge.com across my back. Any objections?

A sticker like this isn't too different from one of the thousands of varieties of license plate frames you see from auto dealers. Here in California, where the average standard of driving is criminally poor, I would imagine that a dealer wouldn't take a risk if there was indeed a fear of litigation.
