Jeb, all that I can remember of the info provided was it was a 78, and a Thunderbird- "Corve- last few letters washed out by rain".

That doesn't help me at all.....the '78 'Bird was a fairly large car though, and didn't look much like the car shown.

Poor you, Jeb. I am on day 5. Is it the one that just feels like a headcold but also feverish (I was probably close to 101 a few times)? I've had to work during this time too, not much fun but have to esp as have property taxes due and am visting family in BC next month. Would like to have some spending $$.

Oh, GAwD, Susan......I have SUCH sympathy for you!

I hate the way the fever comes and goes.......freezing under three blankets, then too hot, then the thing breaks and you can't stand up 'cause yopu feel so wonky......I don't even want to talk about the grief I've got with crud in my chest and sinuses, and to make matters worse with that I have asthma......

whimper.....

Is there a reason either of you didn't get a flu shot?

Wow, that's definitely no fun, Jeb (hugs). Even the cats won't sleep with me at night cause I toss and turn and make worse noises than they do horking up hairballs. Barely any appetite, but trying to eat and drink healthy stuff. Down about 3lbs, and no doubt new bf will complain when he next sees me - haven't seen him all week as he's had his 12-yr-old son for March Break. And bf would probably attribute my fever to hot flashes, knowing him! Jeez, I'm only 42!!!

Anyway no fear, I have the brown well and truly tied up this time for 1 second. The challenge, that is, the brown ribbon of course will be forever....muhaahahahaaaa...;-)

Got mine, too....

I dodged FOUR different bugs this winter that the girls brought through the house, warded off everything I was exposed to in my customer service job, BUT....I then screwed up....

I got on an airplane.

ETA: They nailed the A flu dead-on and COMPLETELY missed on the B flu.

I can commiserate.

Last Friday (the 13th), Bernard broke his elbow.
Monday, my son and I both had a malicious stomach bug, and all 4 of us had the sniffling-sneezing-coughing crud.

By Wednesday, I'm better, mostly, find out that the son also has an ear infection, sinus infection and possibly strep throat and ended up on antibiotics. This is also the day that we find out that the break that we didn't think was so bad would require surgery for my husband.

Friday, I'm 99% better, the daughter is 99% better, son is mostly better, but still on antibiotics, and hubby has elbow surgery (where they discover his elbow was even worse than the second xray showed) then throws up for three hours will waiting to be discharged.

At this point, I'm better, daughter is better, son is good except for a nagging cough, and husband's pain has become manageable.

I would not redo last week for anything. Even a blue ribbon streak.

I just want to take a moment to say that on a sunny, warm, beginning of spring Sunday, that Piggies in a Blanket and a bottle of beer is the perfect early dinner, with the breeze on your face and the sound of a hockey game coming from the open sliding glass door behind you.

I'm cooking fresh corn-fed lean ground beef with bruschetta & baby portabellas to put over wild & basmati rice for Lisa's and my dinner.

Heh, heh......GOTCHA!!!

Seriously, it's nowhere near as much grief as it sounds, and the rice is one of my most craven comfort foods.
