 I guess Valentine's Day is on my mind and so as usual I did a skewed take on it.

Setup: 2 60w lights with diffusers, my disintegrating homemade lightbox, mounted on my pos Wal-Marttripod, and waxed paper over the flash of the camera.

pp: shadow/highlight, curves, brightness/contrast, hue/ saturation/lightness, crop, resize, usm, sharpen edges, save for web

The pearls coming through the heart is very strong, it immedeantly draws the eyes. The ring off to the side also adds a nice touch. But the background shouldn't be white as it takes away from the photo. A darker color would have made the object pop.

Nice color and lighting. Don't like the broach(??) in the lower left corner. The container is confusing to my eye. I spent more time looking at it than the pearls.

Arrrgh! Looks like a 3 to me. Oh, wait, that's what the trolls say about my shots! The only two comments I'd made about this very nice shot is the hot spots on the top of the heart, and the glass holder does not seem to be quite straight. Your placement of the pearls and pendant is very nice, and the luster on the pearls is captured nicely. I love your title! 7

A less centered composition would make this a bit more interesting, I think.

Great title - I laughed out loud and my co-worker peeked over my cube wall to see what I was laughing at. He didn't get it.
