Okay, I'm sure this has been discussed adnasium already; but I'm going to ask any way.

What size are the images you upload to Flickr? I have Lightroom resize them to have no side larger than 600 pixels, but I was thinking of upping that and was just wondering what everyone else did, and hell why?

I upload mine at 600 pixels because it's an easily viewable size.

I use 600 also.

I'm too lazy. I just upload the original size of the photo from my camera (unless I've cropped it).

Which for the 450D is 4272px by 2848px

I tend to do 800, occasionally 640

I go 800 wide for landscape format and 700 high for portrait.

Since I have all sizes disabled on my account I usually upload no larger than 650 pixles on the long side since the bigger sizes still count in the slideshow feature.

1024 usually for Flickr and Picasaweb. I prefer showing... and seeing detail.

I have no size I favor, but I have lately been doing them at no more than 850 maximum on my longest side. There is something called BigHugeLabs which lets you place them to be viewed on black, and anything bigger than that doesn't really keep the black border uniform on all sides. Since I want the black on all sides, which enhances the pictures enormously, I have started doing the smaller size. I also know that Getty is viewing these images and don't want to have a really big size any longer. Not that they would ever choose one of my images, but I can always dream.

Does Getty have a size limit that they look for?

When you post the image, you can choose the size you want. If Getty is interested, they will come to you. At that point you need to be able to provide a clear, sharp image at around 3-5 mb. They will give you the size they want to look at the image, and if it meets their standards they will use your image as one of the flickr stock images.

I will do 600, 640 or 720 pixels maximum. 600 is what I call my "web" size and I use it for posting to my blog. Sometimes, I will save to 640 or 720 because I am thinking of using the image here and then I just post it in that size.
