A temporary fix - can you download a trial version and install that in the interim? (I'm asking without having checked to see if that's possible...) If you can, just download cs4, install it and run. Then when you talk to customer service, you should just be able to add in your serial number to the trial version. |
Yes this is possible as I have the Cs4 trial version sitting in a folder.
After running it found a little overkill in some areas IMO, so went back to Cs3.
Also if you go into google and download a Freeware program revouninstall and run this on your computer, when you open it if any part of any program is on your computer you do not require follow the directions and it will completely remove all trace of the programs, and then you can reinstall Cs4 without any conflicks. cheers

I threw some more images up HERE
There are some descriptions below the images.
I am sick as a dog with whatever friggin' bug I caught on the airplane.......fever, delerium, sore throat, crud in the upper respiratory tract, so I'm done for now.
I have one card that I can't get the images from......I can see them in my camera & scroll through them, but I can't get them to download 'cause the computer says that the card's corrupted. I tried to download them first with a card reader, then with the camera cord.....no dice.
Suggestions?

Oooh poor you Jeb, sucks to be sick and have your camera be sick too...have a ton of pics and can't download them... :-(
Maybe try another card reader? Not knowledgable enough to suggest anything more daring.
Gem entry sucking at just barely 5.0, 37 comments. Glad so many others are having better time of it than I am! Trying to vote/comment but computer soooo frickin slow...going for at least 1 century of comments.
Time to go pp my entry for HopeII... |

Go back and do a Re-shoot Wink Wink Say no more. :-)
Take the card to a store with photo processors and see if there machine says the card is corrupt, if not load onto a disc there.

Some camera stores have software that attempts retrieval of images from corrupted cards.
Perhaps the brand of card has downloadable retrieval software.

I got my images with RescuePRO.....$40 and worth every nickel......
   
   
I was really glad I had my camera and the last two and a half years here at DPC.
Three years ago I would not have been able to capture the images I have.
It was an incredible experience enriched by these images I will have forever.

Jeb, I agree, just with what you posted here, the program paid for itself, the images are fantastic.. BTW I didn’t know JPG was back, I thought they went down a couple months ago, I guess I have to find my old username - password..

They went right down to the wire, but didn't fold......I'm happy for them, and it's another place that I like to play.

So......I guess this's as good a time as any to comment upon how Team Suck has insidiously wormed its way totally into my heart.
I get to the Newark airport, and of course I'm just scanning around with the photog eye.....light & shadows, weird architecture, possible street shots.....and what should I happen to see strutting through the hustle & bustle of a busy Saturday morning, but an emissary from  Melethia.
The scary part?
It is completely, absolutely, unmolested straight from the camera.......and I don't EVER not tweak a little!
This one's for you, Deb!........8>)
