I was at dpreview.com today, and realized they posted thier in-depth review on the sony f828.

I was impressed by how comprehensive the review was. It pretty much validated what I had been reading about regarding the quality issues. What I took from the article was an excitement about the future of digital cameras. His comment about this being a first version of this camera and sensor are good to keep in mind because if we can wait or have to wait a little longer, like me, then we will soon see other models with higher resolutions that better address the troublesome noise and CA issues. I won't wait forever but at least another generation or two of cameras and then I am quite sure I can choose a great camera that I will enjoy for a long time. I would get the Digital Rebel today if I could.
