When this challenge started I thought we would see a couple of pages of 7+ scores at the end but now I'm not so sure. With the quality of some of the photographers here who are listing scores that range from 6.7 to 6.9 (people like Simms, Yanko, DrAchoo, etc.) I'd guess we may see a lower scoring challenge overall than one might have thought.
I'm now guessing we'll be lucky to one half a page of 7+.
And since I don't put myself in thier class I'm now feeling better about mine:

It's a dangerous trap to fall into, believing that people that have scored high in the past will always score high. (or should always score high)

The thing is a lot of the big hitters rarely post their score (with a few exceptions), but I dare say Scalvert, Heida, JoeyL, IreneM etc who, if entered, will possibly be sitting on 7s.. Then there is a defeafening silence from others such as MAK, Ecce Signum & Jedusi who have a habit of doing incredibly well in freestudies and who I imagine have a stunning back-catalogue from the past xxx years - maybe they are of the mindset if they post their high-scores they will jinx them.. I know if I was sitting on a 7+ I wouldn't be saying much.. So I reckon there are some high-scores out there, we just gotta wait until rollover to find out how high. 6.8 - 6.9 I reckon can expect top 50 or maybe top 40, which would still be in the top 95% of entries.

I can't wait to see the breakdown of scores on this one... I have many amazing comments (and the two favorites!), and then in tracking the scores I know that I have some threes (or possibly even twos and ones!). Seems to be quite the love or hate image, which is good - take some risks, see what happens! |

Yup, I thought about that also, some great photogs still out there. That is why I'm guessing there will definately be 7+ scores but I still think not quite as many as I may have thought earlier with over 1,000 entries. I'll be happy to make the top 100 and thats likely to be a stretch as there are quite a few of us likely lumped around the mid 6's. But it is still a fun challenge! What a stuggle to go through years of work and try and decide on a best. |

I am truly amazed at what I'm getting, I thought I'd be mid 5's for sure. The comments are awesome, really appreciate the time people are putting in. I'm hoping just to get through voting on all but I'm throwing in comments when I can. I think the question is how many 7+'s there are, it has to be a long list. | My average vote received is now at 5.6199 which is up .0045 (pretty good cosidering I've done 81 challenges) from when I started. Can we do more challenges like this? :D |
