Found this video and it's pretty good general discussion of things to think about. Bit basic for most but worth a watch if you have time. He sort of emphasizes the white balance thing a bit :-)

| i liked this. yea really basic stuff but good reminders and i like how he doesn't fret over what many people do, camera brands, sensors, iso grain, he just likes to take pictures. so much of what makes the shot has little to do with the equipment being used. |
