My scores have been on a slight upward trend today the whole time. I hope it stays that way!
Here's a graph of my scores so far. I won't disclose the actual score (the Y-axis). I'll leave everyone wondering. LOL!

| WOOHOO....Finally got my first comment after 122 votes. A positive one too even though my score sucks. Hopefully now I can get some productive criticism. I will never get better without it. |

If you don't get the amount of feedback you want, you can start a thread once the challenge is over and ask people for their opinion. It's a surefire way to get some comments.

| ugh. you know what i reall hate? when people leave one word comments. its like i get all happy about getting a comment and i click into it and all it says is "awesome" or whatever. so disappointing |

I do not mind it all they just say is "Awesome" but I do hate it when all they say is "Crap"......... |

Just looked through this challenge and I think the dogs are beating the cyclists by 14 to 13... of course, I could have missed a few here and there. Surfers are coming up third with about 9 or so if you count the kite surfers.

| Well, i can't vote on members challenges yet, but from what i saw here in DPC, this is the challenge which i'm giving the highest votes ever. It's just me or there are more people seeing amazing shots at this challenge? |

I generally do not vote on challenges I am entered in, so I have not really looked at the rest of the Action shots. There are some very nice puzzled shots though. They are a bit more difficult to vote on I think, because there is lots of interpretations to the theme.

I thought there were great action shots.
I gave a avg score of 8+
I did not like the ones with frames or boarders, but scored
Them well also.

I generally don't like borders, though it doesn't make a difference in my scoring, but I actually bordered mine this time. there are some photos that really work well with borders, and there are some that I think the border detracts. I'll comment on it, but I don't think it ever really drops it a whole point, so I'm not going to chance the score because of it. |

Okay, that was my last update on my shot--It's been disqualified. It's been pending for the last 3 days, and I was completely floored. I've been trying desperately hard to understand the editing rules, but I thought keeping the original was a no-brainer! Obviously, you go into the program and make sure you never save over the original--do a Save As.
NOPE!
I had no idea that the Save As actually changes the original as well. It's crushing to find this out the hard way on a picture that I believe would have made the top 10.

 vawendy the original is not the file from the computer, but the one directly from the memory card / camera. They likely didn't recognize your file as the original regardless of how you saved it, for this reason. |
