LOL, I wished they would jump to the time when Richard gets old. That guy is weird. He looked the same when he went to visit Locke as a child and 40 years later he still looks the same! |
I thought that was answered last week with all the time travel stuff... gotta wait until Sunday to watch next episode over here :( I could DL it but my new years res was to not pirate/download anything this year - so far so good. |

If I miss an episode I just go to ABC.com and watch it there. You don't download it, you just watch the episode on your computer.
I still don't understand Richard, at first I thought he didn't age because he never left the island, but he did leave several times. I still expect to hear Richard with a horrible Cuban accent, because I used to watch the show Suddenly Susan. |

i guess it is not just me who is not that impressed with the new series.
saying that, the last episode was probably the best of the season so far!
anyone else think that JJ Abrams mind was on FRINGE or Star Trek when he was creating season 5???

I think you have a good point there. I am sticking with this in hope that it will answer questions that I have had since the begining season. Though sometimes it's like losing a hour of your life you will never get back. |

i was expecting more though.
I mean we are 5 episodes in (almost a third of the season) and all that has really happened is we found out the island can time travel!

This season is over the top. Lots of answers have been answered but alas, the same important ones remain. During the 2nd season, the producers stated the show would only last 5 seasons and it would end there. Doesn't look like it's going to end this season. I'm a huge fan of the show and would hate to see it go but, I'd like to see the end happen next season.
I'm just waiting too see Charlie washed up on shore because the Island brought him back for a purpose. =/ |

I was just beginning to like Lock and hate widmore, now I want to go the other way round!
I'm pretty sure Widmore is lying about why he was on the island, but then he's helping Locke so what's his game? To find a way back to the island i suppose.
And I'm lost on what ben is up to, or how he knows what he knows.
Walt's dream about people trying to hurt locke - are they ben/widmore or the new crash survivors.

All I can say is Wow this week opened up more questions answered a few but Locke lives and Ben killed him. What war is coming? and what side will the six be on. How come Richard doesn't lead or does he? |

I used to flip flop on whether I thought Ben was good/bad, but the last episode confirmed it solidly for me. Ben is out for his own interests, period. Whenever I consider that he might be doing something for the good of someone else, I think of 1) Him saying "Who cares?" about blowing up the people on the freighter and now 2) Him saying "Who cares?" about the other people on the Ajira flight last episode. He generally has no real compassion, and only does 'the right thing' when its the right thing for him. I still count him as one of my favorite characters of the show though. :D
I believe Widmore to be pretty much the same as Ben; A good liar/manipulator and out for his own interests alone. He and Ben are a lot alike; Even down to the daughters they both seem(ed) to actually care about.
This season is... I don't know how I feel about it. Part of me is excited about it, and the other part of me is having trouble caring but I can't quite place why. The first few seasons, I was avid about being home right on time to watch it every week. The last couple of episodes this season, I actually forgot about and wound up watching later. So its not really keeping me on the edge of my seat like it once did. But I'm with dainmcgowan, no way am I going to bail now.
So this season so far we've learned:
-The Island can time travel. (and is apparently always moving, which explains why no one seems to be finding it)
-That the Oceanic Six are back on the Island (and really that happened fast, considering how drawn out some of the stuff on this show is)
-There's some kind of 'war' coming.
-Locke's not dead.
-Jin's not dead.
-Kate mysteriously got rid of Aaron...
I think that about covers it... Did I forget anything?
Does anyone think that Desmond and/or Walt will be brought to the Island as well? I'm wondering if Locke visiting Walt and saying that "he's been through enough" was their way of tying off that story line, and that Walt's role is just done. Personally, if that's the case, I'll be a little irate that they built the kid up to be such a mystery and everything, and then not even bother to explain it... |

I think Desmond is the most interesting character in the series to date, and the story arcs that revolve around him have always been the most engaging. I imagine he'll be back, hopefully getting more air time than the last few episodes.
Both Walt and his dad - they should have made more out of the kids character (maybe they still will), but the Dad character was pretty annoying. Was happy to see him sail away, happier yet to see him go down with the ship. Guess he'll be back too though. |

I am in front of the TV every Wednesday when this starts, I tape it and rewatch it before the next one and when it is all over I will buy the whole lot of them to rewatch. I still do not understand alot but it does keep me coming back every week. |

We will usually have a DVD marathon every couple of seasons and burn a weekend in front of the screen. So much, SO MUCH, nicer without the insane amount of commercial breaks in that show! |
