So I thought maybe if people we were willing to teach others or those who wanted to learn from someone or if you wanted to meet up with someone in your area and learn together. you could enter you city and state, or country and PM to meet up.. I'm sure there are forums like this one but there hasn't been in a little while so I thought i'd start one.

Monica, I think that your post is a very good idea :)
The beauty of the internet is that you can also learn from someone without being local to them or actually going out and shooting with them, learning can be as easy as just talking about and analysing images from a days photography. That being said there is nothing quite like joining up with someone on a trip and enjoying your hobby with a like minded soul or two :)

| There was, at one time, an informal DPC mentor program going on. I haven't seen anything about it in a while, so I'm guessing it kind of petered out. |

my mentee (is that a word, is it the right one?) still emails me on a weekly basis. It has been a really rewarding process.

WEll I wish it would start again.. lol
I learn so much faster from hands on rather than reading or someone telling me how.. |
