Did our annual camera club portrait shoot again this year.....just some fun shooting and great fellowship amongst models, photogs, and camera club people.

Here are a couple quick edits that I like......

Hi everyone.

With the end of the Free Study, I now have a series of Amelia that I, and everyone other than DPC voters, seems to love. I'm pretty surprised at the scores, but per Team Suck attitude, don't much care. :) I am curious, though - anyone got any idea why these didn't score better? Unlike many of my portraits, they're actually sharp and well-lit. :)

Gray was one of my suckiest in a while. Going back to my roots...

You didn't reshoot the "My Hand" photo did you ?

(and, ftr, I haven't voted on the challenge, and have not so much as seen the thumbnails, so I do not know if there is a "My Hand" photo in there at all !)

*GRIN*

At least one of my browns (and omfg I have 5 or 6, I didn't know I sucked so bad!) has appeared, redone, in the Brown challenge so I guess that's a compliment of sorts...should go vote seeing I'm such an idol to these people :-)

someone did one of mine too!

Jeffrey, you are so close it̢۪s unreal, but you know there are a lot of portrait photographers on this site, and I believe any imperfection is judged harshly. In my view I see only 1 imperfection in each photo. Simple critique based on the order of your post.
#1 & #3, everything is dead on perfect, light, comp, focus, the only thing that hurt you isâ€Â¦Ã¢€Â¦..lipstick, that’s it, nothing more.
#2, the bright red glasses neutralize the lipstick and balances the face (lipstick ok), but the light is a bit hot on the right side, again that̢۪s it.

My grey ran zero comments - which may or may not mean I nailed it.

Jeb, you are there, if I was as good, I would be supplementing my unemployment..

I figured the voters were all too polite to leave me negative comments, which is how I got zero for my entry.

I also had zero, and I did or did not nail it based on my 50% placing. ROFL!

I didn't get any comments either on my 'grey' entry.
So far, I'm running on 0 comments in 'begin' and 'brown ribbon deja vu'

I have not been representing well lately, though my Gray score brought me back to my sucking roots...

Thanks! Yeah, on #2, I think I screwed up the hot spot on the right in processing.

I have to jump in to mention that you probably also go hurt a little bit by "Very recognizable model being used in very similar poses way too close together" syndrome by the end there. Not to mention that there is a little noticeable camera-shake blur in the eyes of the last one as well.

My "End" is going to end up above a 5 after all. It's even attained the great heights, at one point, of 5.2!

Most girls give my "end" a sub 3, just too skinny.......;p

Big progress this week on the house project.

Here's the current front and back:
02/10/2009 09:58:59 PM · #1449
Raish - that is one impressive score; way beyond the call and duty of TS in fact!
Brian - I think it is safe to say that Raish has the Brown sewn up.
Jeffrey - that is amazing progress! Do you have a planned date for moving in? trying to tie in all the builders, plumbers, electricians etc must be a nightmare.
