You should arrange a visit for the same time Dave comes, tho' I don't know what THAT'll be... He'll probably never get around to it, knowing him. |

I'm trying to find the original Absinthe, with no chemicals and with Thujone. I can have some shipped from Czech., but it's really expensive that way! (And then I'd need the cool flask to put it in!) ;) |

Taboo :)
"Our premier product is the handcrafted, Absinthe Taboo, made by master stillman Frank Deiter in British
Columbia. Absinthe Taboo is traditionally distilled from whole herbs (including grande absinthe or Artemisia
absinthium) and the finest fruit-based alcohol. It's full strength, naturally coloured, and contains no additives
or artificial ingredients whatsoever. In collaboration with Frank, we hope to broaden our range by introducing
further innovative absinthes for the Canadian market in the coming months." |

"Our absinthe contains similar levels of thujone to many of the famous brands of the pre-ban era. This has been verified by
repeated independent testing. The myth that vintage absinthes contained extraordinarily high levels of thujone is just that - a myth,
derived from a single long discredited 1970's journal article. The reality is that well made absinthes, both modern and vintage, contain
only moderate levels of thujone. Modern absinthes that purport to contain extraordinarily high levels of thujone - in some notorious
cases, claims of over 100mg - are historically completely inauthentic, and vile tasting. They're usually produced by adding liquid
thujone or oil derived from cedar wood leaves directly to the final distillate, a travesty of good distilling practice and something that
would have horrified any Belle Epoque absintheur. We don't sell this type of ersatz product on this site, nor will we in the future.
Having said this, it's important also to stress that our absinthe contains only real wormwood, not substitute herbs such as
Southernwood, and we use no artificial thujone limiting techniques during distillation." |

I should check the local price and find out if there's customs fees if I were to send you a bottle, see if it would be any cheaper. |

The customs fees could be huge. Luckily, this link sends it in a plane, unmarked box - so it actually gets there! LOL! |

Then again, I wouldn't have to be truthful in what was in the box. It's.... bubble bath, that's it, bubble bath :D |
