Has anyone else checked this out? //news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090123/ts_afp/spaceastronomyeclipseasiaafrica Don't know if anyone is where they'll be able to see it, but it'd be pretty neat to see!

I hope it makes the Australia Day sunset here in Western Australia interesting, might be worth a try. I know it'll be partial but thats better than none.

Well, I got it. I used 2 polarising filters stacked on my 70-200 set at F22 at 1/8000 and held it away from my face. It's a double image, sure, but I think it's pretty cool. Would have been better as a more total eclipse and I'm not sure I'll ever try this again, but here it is.
