Head-to-head to-the-death knockout-a-thon, anyone?

basssman7 has just drawn my attention to a possibility. The way things sound at the mo, his tie with

Judi looks like being pretty close and high scoring too (both on 6.6 in the best of 2008 challenge last I heard). In fact, it's a real possibility that whoever loses that match will still be the highest loser out of all 20 matches and, the way the draw works, the pair will end up playing each other again in round 2!

As the 4 highest-averaging losers from round 1 will still qualify for round 2, then theoretically in 4 round 2 match ups a pair from round 1 will end up playing each other again. To avoid this happening, I've thought of the following:

Once the four highest losers are known. I'll look at where they fit into the draw and who they're playing. In the event they are due to play the same person they played in round 1, I'll swap their place in the draw with another of the highest losers as below, and carry on through A, B, C, D, E and F and so on until all four highest losers are playing someone different in round 2 from round 1.

A swap 1st placed highest loser (HL) with 2nd HL
B swap 3rd placed HL with 4th HL
C swap 1st HL with 3rd HL
D swap 2nd HL with 4th HL
E swap 1st HL with 4th HL
F swap 2nd HL with 3rd HL

If none of these work I'll draw it randomly.

Lets say for the sake of argument that:

[purely hypothetical example]

Judi won in round one and basssman7 was the highest loser. I'll swap basssman7 with the second highest loser. Judi will then play the 2nd highest loser and basssman7 will then play the winner out of ivale28 and Hot_Pixel (who as it stands will play the 2nd highest loser)

oops, just found this, looks like you'll have me with a double wammy sir, 6.1 in best of and 5.76 in personality. Two things seem to be bringing my personality shot down, one was intentional and the other a schoolboy with dark monitor type error.

SoulMan1978 I am sure glad you know what the heck you are talking about because I am totally at a loss in understanding. Hahaha. Sooo I will just go along as always and enter as I have been and take my chances. Hahah.

Right now I am in personality but I hope it isn't going to be counted against another player since I may have my two points when Cooking ends.

I am now in glasses, best of 2008, single tree and plan to enter the free study at some point before the end of the month if any of this helps anyone to know.

Not so fast fine sir! I slipped under 6.1(6.0980) in best of and sitting on 5.7 in personality. My personality shot is DPC flawed but it works perfectly for me. Looks like it will be a boat race.

It's VERY close on personality, I think this score is the deciding of the winner. It's like those college football games of smaller teams who stand off to the side of the big players, but have a more exciting and close game. May the best photographer win!

hajeka. Your round 2 matches obviously can't start yet as you don't have an opponent yet to play. Any challenges you have in voting and submission until your round 2 matches start won't count in head-to-head but they still will count towards your tournament averages for tie-break purposes.
