If you are out there, I'd like to let you know that I have a life, but it's not reaching it's full potential. lol! Do you have a life? I'm a bit concerned with this match up, as you have five images, that absolutely whollop my best efforts to date. :(
BTW you have some lovely images on your profile, and I'm really hoping that you had such a great festive season that you have become complacent, and lost your edge, or have forgotten to enter. It's probably my only hope.... :)
I really know how  basssman7 feels, but at least he's had a few beers to counter the nerves... |

Good morning all and especially Jeff, I do have a life and I won't embarrass you with how great it really is. All I have to say is, I hope for your sake your life is half as good as mine otherwise I feel really sorry for you.
All the best to everyone during this challenge and the subsequent challenges that lie ahead, with any luck we will not suffer the same low vote syndrome that the DPC Olympics did. It would be nice to get an honest rating for our efforts :)

limerick is smashing me out of the ballpark!
I'm sitting on barely a 5 , and she's mid- 6s! Congrats to her on a new PB in the making.
Now I'm gonna need to pull out all stops for cooking, but I'm not sure my image is one of my strongest. Argh- it might be a VERY early exit for me ;) |

Thank you for giving me a little confidence but Ive seen your food shots. Hahaha. I think now I will be doomed. Haahah.
I am not in best of 2008 either since I didnt take many pictures in 2008 with my horrible camera. I am hoping to be in the free study tho. I want to do Personality to. Are you doing the others Lonni? |

Lonni just so you know I am in everything but The Business Person this month. I did find a picture for the best of 2008 challenge. I will enter Free Study at some point before it ends and will do the Personality one to. I am in cooking but not sure about how that will go. ;=)

Apologies for one last re-wording of the rules. I was basically trying to tighten up the wording for when someone enters fewer than 2 challenges.
Say photographer A is playing photographer B. A has an all-time average of 5.8 versus B's 5.5. B has a great month by their own standard and averages 6 for the five challenges they entered that month. A enters one challenge and gets 5.6.
The way the rules were worded before A would win as their all-time average is higher than B's. but I've re-worded it such that A's all time average (5.8) would be compared against B's average during the tourney (6) and B would win. That seemed fairer to me, seeing as B made the effort and entered more plus they had a better average.
How does that sound? Geez I do over-explain these things lol.

Makes sense to me. :) So as long as "B" has entered 2 or more challenges that average would be used? |

Hey basssman...are you trying to beat me on your monthly average in comparison to my overall average? Well....I will have to make sure I am in more than 2 challenges this month...and my average for the month will be ABOVE my overall average...ya still won't get me....and my Life score is proof of that...for now anyways....hehehehehe!
