Ooooo, maybe Jimmy Hoffa will finally turn up! Wouldn't that make a great image? A gaudy eye-searing purple sunset reflecting off a wet sand beach at low tide, with Jimmy's skull and a few other bones sticking up through the sand... Magical! :D

For context in terms of size, you need to wait until the stupid people go walking out there, thinking it will be neat to get sprayed. Just have 911 ready to dial on the cell phone.

A few shots before my FS entry I have a less impressive wave, but a guy in a yellow rain slicker standing at the fence. I so wished I could have cloned him in because he stood out awesome and provided that exact context I wanted.

When I lived in CA near the coast and a big storm would roll in with big waves crashing into the shore, it seemed like there was always some moron who would walk out onto the breakwater despite the warnings. More often than not, they'd get washed away.

Being a San Diego native, I know exactly what you're talking about. Having spent a lot of time hanging around on the Oregon Coast, I gotta say "Not in Oregon with 40-foot waves!". I mean, seriously, these things were like obliterating the shoreline...
