| I like this challenge. Sand, by itself, is fairly "uninteresting". So, the challenge forces us to add additional elements of interest, or to show sand in an interesting way. Good for DPC. This encourages creativity and imagination. Not easy, but good for taking us out of our comfort zone. This challenge got me out taking photos in sub-freezing weather. That's where one finds serendipity. |

| I dare anyone to tackle what this artist does:-) Jim Denevan makes freehand drawings in sand. Just an incredible amount of patience and design. |
