Okay I tried it and finally I can see the hats. But what is CTRL-F5 and why does it have this effect?
(Sorry if this is a stupid question.)

It forces the page to refresh from the server.

Now that Christmas has come and gone, I won't be a grinch if I mention that the hat's not on our "icons", it's on our "avatars". Got that, everyone? Avatars!

This has been a message from the usage police.

Oh gosh is that what our hats are on.... um thanks for clearing that up. Might have embarrassed myself had I turned up at a fancy dress party.

So I have an "Avatar" - who would have thought. Christmas this year just keeps happening :-)

Pleased to have been of service :-)

R.

BTW, here's Wiki on avatars:

An avatar is a computer user's representation of himself/herself or alter ego, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games,[1] a two-dimensional icon (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities,[2][3] or a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs. It is an âobjectâ representing the embodiment of the user.

AFAIK, I first heard this word in Hindi/Sanskrit when growing up. heres some more info (from wikipedia too):

"Avatar or Avatara (Sanskrit: अवतार, IAST Avatâra), often translated into English as incarnation, literally means descent (avatarati) and usually implies a deliberate descent from higher spiritual realms to lower realms of existence for special purposes."

So all of us are now into lower realms of existence on DPC. Lol:-)

Haha!

I was gonna include the Sanskrit information also, but thought people would think I was putting on airs (something I apparently do a lot) :-) It's a lot better coming from you, since Sanskrit is a part of your heritage...
