Kelli, nothing to worry about, just a bad day, construction (my work) âdownâ, Stocks I had to sell the same day âdownâ, so I was feeling a bit down.
One must never mix depression with depressants.. LOL
But what the hell, brand new year coming, things will get better.

Over here (Chicago) we're hoping for a break on Tuesday so my wife can fly home after interviewing at residency programs out west for the last week. I know what I what for Christmas!
ETA: It is kinda nice though that it warmed up enough to snow again. It's no fun when the outside temperature is lower than my latest DPC score.

We had a nice little sleet and freezing rain storm last night (so you guys got the snow) It's very pretty but the branches are all crackling in the wind. I'm worried what might happen tonight when everything freezes.
The variation in temps is interesting, 3 hours south in Cincinnati it is 60 degrees. Darn them all :P |

She's looking for a residency program in either anesthesia or internal medicine. She's in the middle of touring Shreveport LA, Chicago, Pittsburgh PA, Portland OR, Albuquerque, San Francisco, and Oklahoma City. We wouldn't mind staying in Chicago, since I have a good job and the boy's in a good school, but if we had to move we'd like to go back to California. |

Hey I guess it was good that I'm up here in the upper part of the state. We didn't get it like you all did! But we've already had enough snow for the rest of the winter if you ask me! My mom and dad are usually in Arizona and I'm usually downstate so none of us are used to all this. It's pretty, but I'm over it!!! |

We got 11 inches here in Saginaw with all that wonderful blowing and drifting. I will try to take some pictures tomorrow and post some. |

hmm well. sad announcement. a guy i used to be very close with was found dead this morning. ive already gotten all the crying out(no, im lying. i havent), im just not sure what to do. i live right next door to him so i was unofficially assigned the job of telling all our classmates from elementary school. its taken a toll on me... i want to do a portrait of me being all upset but everytime i go to do all the settings and everything i stop being sad:/

Maybe doing all the settings and everything takes your mind off it. I expect there's a lot of crying to come. Think about composing a letter/email/Christmas card to all your old classmates - maybe you or another of them wants to organise a get together... Those sort of things help, I think.

| thanks, most of them are gathered at the hospital, but i couldnt go(i cant handle that). but a letter or something is a good idea. i real dread the fact im going to have t do a memorial yearbook page for him. that really kills me inside |

| Wow another year almost gone and looking at my entries I've gotten worse not better. Thou here I still am trying. Entered shadows with one that is a learning experience on how to use natural light. If I know the site like I think I do it might be another brown for me, but I learned and to me that is what being here is all about. I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has been a rough year for lots of us, but we are a great group of people and I'm proud to be a small part of the group. |

| I know how you feel. I've definitely gotten worse score wise in challenges. But overall I think I've learned tons and my photography for non challenges is way better. |

| I too have gotten worse score wise, but I am taking more photos that I personally like. I am also taking a break from entering challenges. I was looking forward to a side challenge in the new year, but none of them are of interest to me right now. Maybe in February. |
