Hmmm, I bet I could find a way... I've got access to all kinds of test hardware and software...

Would be interesting to chart power draw as a function of time during an online game of RSV2 or something similar.

That sucks big time. Imagine all those people who bought new bulbs and energy conservation gadgets to save a few bucks on their bill but this game rips everything to shreds. Bad bad MS.

Xbox360 kills the environment. :( Think about it when you're killing those Locust and having fun doing it, you're killing the Planet too. :(

Anyone want an Xbox? j/k :)

I try not to think... :)

I got (2) 360's...

One in the Living Room hooked to a 65" RPHDTV. Those two along with the Scientific Atlanta HD/DVR Set-top box (which runs way hotter than a 360), Yamaha Home Theatre and a Wireless-N bridge; They heat the whole front of the House.

In the Den I have the other 360 hooked to a Wall mounted 37" HDTV/LCD and those two and several PCs heat the back... So I don't run my furnace.

Doh!

lol Andy. I'll be getting a 2nd 360 so it's pretty much a mute subject for me too. 65 inches is big as hell. I have a 32 incher but sit only aprox. 8 ft away from it though. I'd sprain my neck watching yours lol.

hehe - keep in mind - you live in SOCAL. so you never have to run the furnace anyway...

we keep the thermostat at 62 and run the electronics to add that extra couple of degrees that warms the bones... ;}

nothing like sitting in front of a warm 360 to take the chill off after snowblowing for an hour or so ( which i just did :)

Speaking of Snow Boarding have you tried Shaun White Snowboarding? Shaun White at EBGames...

...My Verdict is still not out yet. Still thinking AMPED3 was more fun...Graphics and Soundtrack kick butt but still I'm not quite convinced on the Gameplay... There are some easy challenges and then there are some really toughies.

When I lived in So Cal, people put on their pac boots and down parkas if it got below 60...

I usually have a warm XBox in front of me, hot coffee in my belly and a fire in the fireplace behind me after snowblowing.

yeah i got f'n summer tires - not all season - summer tires...

it's a good car - i just haven't shelled out the cash for snows yet. and this winter i don't really have to worry about it. not working, and can always use the subaru with the hankooks if need be.

plus it's fun to slip, slide, and fish tail around town... ;)

probably gotten around 2.5 feet of snow so far this year. but it's come and melted away. i think we're in for it this year. last year was a top 10 of all time ( ranked 9 ), and this year i think we might make top 3...

just a hunch.

We got a fresh 14 inches over two days. woohoo! My suv is on 4 wheel drive and I think it'll stay there all winter, like last year. I usually switch it back and forth, now I put it on 4wd and forget it.

I've done about 8 or 9 battles, right now, Russia is down to just Moscow and I've been concentrating on W Europe letting the Euros take out Russia. I've had some difficulties with the voice command not doing what I'm telling it to do. After about the tenth time artillery deployed instead of the riflemen I asked for, I got frustrated and I went back to RS6V2 and ranked up to Elite, playing with some weapon combos I haven't used before. It gets a lot more challenging playing "pistol only" and the clip fed shotgun is pretty cool too.

cool. i'll probably play some end war this afternoon. but i have been working my way through RSV1 on realistic. picked it up used a while back. never played that one on regular. though i'm not that far into it. nearing the end of the fisrt section ( border town i think it's called ). you start out in a windy narrow street city, and work your way to the train yard - through the train station, and then the train dumping ground.

not a whole lot different than the sequel. no run ability though. and i think the spawning points are more predictable, although the AI isn't bad - changes depending on your moves. need a sniper with a silencer !

Anyone doing Call of Duty World at War? I'll prolly be playing that over the Holidays. I did split screen with a buddy last night and it wasn't bad at all. The game itself, well it is a Call of Duty type game... lots of baddies (wave after wave) but if you hunker down and play you should, it ends up being like a shooting gallery which gets a bit old.

If your playing it give me a shout.

My Gold membership was up for renewal in January, but because of my car accident, I had to cancel it. Can't get it now until Feb. or March when my finances balance out again. DOH!

Oh well, I wasn't playing online much lately anyway. Fallout 3 has taken my 360 over. Hopefully I can get another really good single player game to pass the time until Gold becomes an option again.

Already played it. Liked it a lot, but no replay value. I might have to focus on finishing some games I have that I never did finish, like Oblivion, and The Darkness.

lol. Nice.

They want $89 for the 60GB drive package here right now. No way I'd recover that cost on ebay.
