I have run it 6 times now, and it's always the same: it comes down off the slope flailing aggressively, then it chokes up, then it goes spastic, jumps in the air once, and slaps the target just enough to get it moving, then crashes over the western precipice as the target rolls VERY slowly and fails to even start up the eastern hump...

It loads everything except the actual game, in the middle all there is is a white square. I can look at the credits ( quite interesting BTW! ) and the forum but cant get into the game

VERY STRANGE! i just ran it again and it works fine. The contraption jumps in the air and strikes the ball which rolls fast enough to jump over the gap. Hmmmm. That's OK. It's not really very impressive. More of a happy accident. |

It sounds like your Flash player may be malfunctioning. Do you have different browsers to try it in (like IE, Firefox, Chrome)? If so does it fail in them all? Have you rebooted the computer? Any other Flash sites work (you can try //quadradius.com/quadradius/index.html for a test)? |

What's happening is that when it HITS the target, the torso of the snake" is in the way and it slows the ball down before it releases it. I'll be interested to try this one on my other machine later and see if it works on THAT, though I don't see how it could make a difference...

I tried it on the other machine (laptop), same failure... I was reading the forums at the FC site and I happened to notice in the comments for one contraption (author's comments) that "It works for some people and not for others", and this was verified by respondents, so it's not a unique problem anyway...

Those are all very nice. Wheelie and Tunneler both appeal to me; Wheelie because it is so *poised* it's hysterical, and Tunneler because it's such a steady, determined, matter-of-fact machine, goes about its business with no fuss or bother, applying brute force in a deceptively understated way.

Yes. And lots, a steady stream of them. People are creating them all the time; they even have contests/challenges like we do. It's an extremely active site, though it seems to lack our social dimension.
