Not to be a debbie downer... but everyone realizes that, while these low gas prices are a nice change from the previous 3.00+, that they are an indicator to how badly the economy is doing on the home front and indeed internationally.

Thoughts?

Evan

PS to not totally be an @$$ and hijack the post, here it's about 1.89 MN,Northfield

I just returned from picking my son up a James Madison University for Thanksgiving break and gas is commonly around $1.75 along I-81 here in Virginia. I'm predicting (hoping) to see $1.50 by year's end. btw early "Happy Thanksgiving" wishes to everyone!

Wanna place any bets that some bizarre thing will happen about a month from now that causes prices to shoot up? Just saying this because we'll be taking a 2,500-mile drive, and these things have a habit of happening to us...

What do you mean by worst luck?

Like locking yourself out of your car at a DPC GTG?

On topic......$1.73.9 this morning.

That's just oil in the pipeline. Not gasoline.

$1.879 near me. I saw $1.829 last night, a couple towns away.

Check out Independence, MO:

$1.37! Is there a refinery there?

Ha -- many thanks for the reminder! For the benefit of anyone else who was there to witness that event, one of our local TV stations just did a series of stories about cell phone myths... one of which being that you can't open a locked car by pointing your cell phone at it while someone at the other end of the line is clicking the remote at their phone... It did make for some amusing moments, though, admittedly...

Unleaded.

The Lowest price in this area: 90.9p
The Average price in this area: 92.1p
The Highest price in this area: 94.9p

Diesel

High 108.9p
Average 106.8p
Low 105.9p

In Dollars, 94.9p is $1.39242 but remember we buy per litre, not per gallon... 1 litre = 0.219969157.....you do the math, it's about £4.30 a gallon, or just over 6 dollars per gallon

$1.68 in Paducah, KY. Filled up Mrs. Eclipse on $21.00. Feels good. But it won't last. Depress demand, price falls. Recover demand without adding capacity, prices rise...no matter who is pulling the strings. Don't go out and buy back your SUV.

Buck and a half (1.5$) for a litre (1/4 of a gallon). How 'bout that?

71.1 cents per litre here in Kemptville area, Canada...meanwhile on the other side of the country, Vancouver Island, people are still paying around $1.20 a litre.

Thursday morning I was out to take my daugter to preschool - it was $2.17.
I picked her up 3 hours later and it was $2.09
I went out to get my son from school at 3 and it was $1.99.

I've not been out since but have a wedding today and an empty tank. I'm hoping for someing like $1.59.

Hey, I can dream, right?

Pretty mad that you Americans pay $2 and we pay over $6.
