Some very good comments from people who liked it, and some from people who thought it was a bit lacking. Normal ops for a score in this range, but at least a few of those who disliked it were kind enough to tell me why.

I'm currently voting off and on, so if you go up or down, it could be me. No comments though, sorry. Haven't given out less than a 4 yet though, and only 2 of those.
This is a bit of a "meh" challenge so far. I get the distinct feeling that most people just ran out to the first run down building they could remember seeing an snapped off a shot with very little regard to composition/color/exposure/etc. Hard to give that kind of thing a vote outside the 4-6 comfort level. |

I tried to leave brutally honest (but helpful!) comments. There were a few standouts, but a lot of shoehorns and what I call misinterpretations. Stranded, isolated, lonely, battered, etc. aren't synonymous with abandoned. Certainly abandoned can imply one or more of those things, but the converse does not necessarily apply. Well, anyway...
EDIT: I see I passed the 2500 mark commenting in this challenge. That's five given for every two received roughly -- a good ratio to have, I think.

I'm going to offer up the other side of the coin.....I did mark your comment helpful, but you missed the mark on mine as being one of the others, but not abandoned.
You happen to be incorrect, but that would have been on me to convey the abandonment properly, right?
I'll be delighted to elaborate and discuss the image afterwards if you like....and you can tell me how/what I did that steered you wrong. I think I know.....but it'll be 24 hours 'til we can talk about it.
