Hmm to be honest I would probably have voted a 5 on that image had I been voting on instinct, when you first said about it in this thread I thought it was this image:
Things I think might have cost you more than the legality issues are the haloing effect around the roof and that although it's cleverly done it could have fairly easily been done by using a dolls house or small model (there is not enough detail to really show it's a full fledge house IMO). I am also not sure how "attractive" the picture is, to me it sits a little awkwardly but that may just be personal opinion :)
Hope this helps |

These days I really don't know anymore. :)
Got a couple of comments questioning it's legality. I uploaded the original right after entering it, because I knew it would be challenged. But no challenge was ever filed and no "validation" ever performed during the voting process.
Thoughts? |
I think you're right. This should have scored a point higher. |

Remember the GOLDEN RULE of DPC VOTING.....
vote as if the entry is valid......
more likely it is the BARIUM RULE |

If I was king and could make the rules, if you entered a contest you could not vote in that contest. |

I'd rate the photo around a 5 (I did not vote on this one). The idea is cool, but the composition is kind of static.
As for the biblical golden rule: "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you". Translated to DPC would be "Vote and Comment onto others as you would have them Vote and Comment onto you,"
I think this would include the original point about assuming it is valid and voting accordingly. |
