My last one in this challenge. Didn't count my comments, hope I made enough of them. (Is there an easy way to check?) I liked this (thank you,  MattO), going for "Sport" next month, but I'm missing the pressure to make a photo everyday.Luckily Ken started a "Slice of life" challenge.
Hope to see you all next month or some other time. |

Two of my orchids are flowering at the moment, so finishing with them for this macro side challenge. I am so sorry I was not here for some of this side challenge, due to my health issues. I thank you all for your comments.
Also a BIG THANK YOU to MattO for doing this macro side challenge.
I have seen some great macros here.....

I didn't get to shoot my 10 this month. I think I did two. :( Everything this month was either sports or portraiture. :/
But, I am going to work my way through these and leave some comments, as time allows. |

Wow, This was a busy month. Nov will be even worse. I only found time to shoot a few while walking to my son's house for breakfast on some mornings.
Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments and suggestions. I hope that I have responded to all of the comments by giving comments.
On to the next adventure.

I have several here on my hardrive but probably won't post 'em since the month's over. Now I'm off to the Slice of Life side challenge!

Just wanted to say cheers MattO for starting this. I didnt manage enough images as October turned hectic, I commented lots though! : )
Was really enjoyable to take part in and seeing some of the other macro shots and getting some great comments will really help me move forward (a bit!) |

I know that October has come & gone...but for those that followed this I wanted to post a follow-up on this photo. I did enter it in a contest at Steve's POTD, and it ended up winning 1st place for October! That was fun. :-)

I want to Thank everyone for participating, this was a great month of images, and hopefully we all learned a little something to move us along in our photographic journey, no matter what direction you go, I hope you have taken something from this to make your journey a little better, a little brighter, and maybe even more profitable.

MattO this was a true learning experience helped along by the relaxed atmosphere where we didn't have to strive for 'a photo a day'.
Thank you for starting it, and thanks to you and the other participants for all your helpful advice during the month. These side challenges are sure a big dividend of DPC membership.

A bit late (been on holiday), but never mind...
Day 22: Some flowers blowing in the wind 
Day 23: Backlit petals 
Day 24: Cigarettes (not mine) 
Day 25: Some kind of succulent plant 
Day 26: Found this little creature sitting on my beach towel 
Day 27: Safe key 
Day 28: Spotted this one on the curtains in the morning sunlight 
Day 29: Straws behind the bar where I was sitting, waiting to be picked up to go to the airport to go home. 
Day 30: A dictionary. It was too small to have the word 'macro' in it 
Day 31: Wood grain 
I hope to get some commenting done in the near future. I haven't done anywhere near enough yet.
