I just received notification that my photo has won the Americade: The World's largest Motorcycle Touring rally Photo Contest. Americade is a yearly motorcycle rally that happens in Lake George New York. Shooting up there is always a pleasure because of the beautiful views provided by the lake and the Adirondack Mountains that surround it.
My photo will appear on the cover of their Magazine for attendees (that number over 40,000) and of course a cash stipend.
This is the Photo! (i did straighten out the horizon in the one I sent to them.)

Congrats! I love the Adirondacks. I grew up with an address on "Adirondack Lane", and my brother, who I'm going to visit this weekend, lives inside the boundaries of the Adirondack Park, near Keeseville.
Way to go!

I didn't know they had slanted lakes in the Adirondacks (just kidding... looks like the ship is steaming uphill). |

Yeah... I know. I was trying to line up the motorcycles front tires when I took the shot.... I corrected it in the one I sent in for the contest. Gracias a Dios for Photoshop......

Woo Hoo! Blowing your horn is most definitely called for. . .how else would your photography junkie co-horts be able to share your great news with you :) That is AWESOME! And what a great photo! No wonder it won. CONGRATULATIONS!

Here at DPC it would have scored a 4.784 because of the tilted horizon. and the lackluster clouds. ;]
