If your computer has USB 2.0 I cannot more highly recommend the SanDisk USB reader that Staples (in USA) carries. It is $ 14.99 USD and I'm able to move a gigabyte in no time. It is multiples of times faster than the USB 1.1 connection that the Canon 10D has. This is just a plug from a VERY happy user who has seen his processing time cut significantly. Buy yours whereever but if your computer supports USB 2.0, make this investment; you'll love it.

If that's the reader which can take 8 different formats that is an excellent price. The one I got came with both a dock and a (too) short cable for both desktop and laptop convenience.

You can get a 4-port USB-2 card for your desktop for about $30.

I have a SanDisk ImageMate reader that takes memory sticks and CF cards. I'm not sure if it's usb 2 compliant but it does work very well. I paid about $18 for it.
