I'm in too - reckon I can outsuck ... (what am I saying here?) yours...

Not sure if that is a competition I want to admit to....

I also changed my entry and I am now in for a Bummer of a week! I think it will suck slightly less then my C in bw shot would have. The strange thing is that I LOVE the colour version of my bw shot. Now I have nowhere to use it. :( course I could use if for the monthly free for all.

I was expecting my D300 yesterday via UPS. I took the day off work so I could be there to accept it because I knew it required a signature. At 2:30pm, the UPS truck pulls up in front of our house. The driver goes back in his truck to get the package. He̢۪s back there for about 2 minutes. He then walks back to the drivers seat and looks at his scanner, then goes back in the package area again. He̢۪s there for another minute. He then comes to the front and looks at his scanner again. Now he gets on his cell phone to make a call. All this time, I̢۪m watching him from the front door. He ends the phone call and starts to drive away.

I yelled to him and told him I was expecting a package and I paid for second day air for yesterday̢۪s delivery. He said the package was not on his truck. I asked him where it was. He got on his cell phone again and made another call. He found out that it was accidentally put on the wrong truck. He told me that the truck that contained the package would be at a metal fabrication shop for a pickup about 4:00pm and that I could meet the driver there and pick it up. So here I am driving to another part of town to meet another UPS driver to get my package.

The things people will do for a new camera.

What a camera it is though!!!! Now comes the learning curve but I can̢۪t wait to get started.

Wise words from the Deb person. And lots of other persons.
Massive congrats on the camera.
As you can see, I'm over that shit...

No, Deb, you have it backward. I get the loan, and you, the taxpayer, have to watch out. :)

But don't worry. I've got such good credit the bank isn't even asking for my W-2 or pay stubs. All those years of living WAY within our means are now paying off. :)

Don: yes, we have a house to sell, but things are still moving in my neighborhood pretty well. People get upset if a house sits for a month. And we qualify (and more importantly, can afford) to borrow the money for the new house even before we sell the old one, which is a relief.

Bob: congrats on the new toy! I've looked enviously at the D300 since it came out all of 6 months after I bit the bullet and bought the D200. I think it'll be the D400 or D500 before I upgrade, though.
