Dramatis Celest III

September 7th was Brazil's Independence day and there are a lot of people from Brazil in San Diego. They had a party down the street from me with music, dancing, food, and a parade. I can still hear the drums when I look at my pictures from then. This is from the parade. Her feathers are actually bright red/ orange and he is wearing blue and white. Having a converted camera is nice for scenes with movement like this since they allow for faster shutter speeds.

Anyway of channel swapping in elements 4??

Cant find it if there is...

From what I read on the web there is no channel mixer or action that will channel swap in elements 4. You could use a hue/sat layer and go to the red channel and slide the hue adjustment to blue and go to the blue channel and slide the hue adjustment to red. not as easy and exact but you could get close I would guess. I'll give it a try tonight and see if it works.

I came across this in a search- it is not free, but not that expensive either. Nor do I know how well it works but may be worth checking into. //www.hiddenelements.com/elements4_tools.html
There may be some free ones as well. I was searching "Channel Mixer Elements 4". Be sure they will work with Elements 4. Some plugins for earlier versions or later versions may not work with 4. I have not tried the hue/ saturation method, but you should be able to get some decent color from that.

There has been fire burning for several weeks, so the sky was extremely hazy, hence the dull sky IMO.

Parade #2
I used some gausian blur on everything but the figure. Some reduced saturation and tint adjustment. I really like the tint I got on this one.

Say Cheese! A woman posing next to a statue based on the famous Kiss in Times Square following the Japanese surrender which ended WWII.
The statue is 25' tall and the ship behind it is the USS Midway aircraft carrier- now retired and serving as a floating museum.

East Fork of King's River. Taken from the middle of the river, thankfully the water level was low, but quite chilly!

Enjoying seeing the activity here. I'm slammed with work at the moment so lengthy IR processing sessions have not been in the cards the last week. I hope to catch up on commenting and posting sometime over the weekend.

i have a question for the IR gurus out there.
has anybody tried HDR with IR??
i have a couple of times and couldn't pull it off.
does the IR light not work the same way as normal light in terms of dynamic range?

I'll have to look into the HDR thing, never thought of it to be honest
