 The statue is based on the famous photograph from Times Square when the Japanese surrendered. It is 25 feet tall. The ship in the background is the USS Midway which is now a floating museum.

Shot in black and white infrared. The color came from clicking on "auto" white balalce in Photoshop. It was off obviously, but I liked it so kept it.

I find it actually a bit scary that that iconic pic has been turned into a 25ft. statue - American kitsch at its best, I suppose. I like the candid of the woman in front.
